DUE DATE: Utility bills are due on the 20th day of each month (regardless of the day of the week.)
PAYMENT: Payments can be mailed to: City of Forest City, P.O. Box 346, Forest City, IA 50436 or dropped off at City Hall during open hours. There is a "drop slot" at the front of City Hall for after-hour utility payments.
PENALTY: A penalty of 1.5% will be charged after the Due Date on the total amount due.
RESIDENTIAL SIGN-UP: Residents should visit City Hall to fill out an application for utilities. Residents will need their Social Security Number, Telephone Number, and Employer Name.
RENTERS: Renters should visit City Hall to fill out an application for utilities. Renters will need their Social Security Number, Telephone Number, Employer Name, photo ID, and a meter deposit or letter of credit from their former utility provider. The meter deposit is $150. (Note: for T & L Properties the deposit is $175; for Townsquare Apartments the deposit is $250.)
