New Construction - Housing Incentives
Eligibility - New Construction
-New construction started after January 1, 1998
-900 Square feet or more
-All forms of housing that are subject to property tax:
-
Traditional "stick built" construction
-
Modular Homes
-
Manufactured Homes
Incentives - New Construction
-Property tax abatement, 100% abatement for 3 years on new construction
-Iowa Housing Trust $10,000 Down Payment Grant
-One Year Free Basic Cable TV
Application Procedure - New Construction
-Complete application at beginning of construction
-Sign promissory note and receive loan proceeds at the completion of the basement / foundation
