Recycling Information & Instructions
Containers & Metal
- Place glass containers in a paper bag, and then place the paper bag in your recycling bin
- Place tin cans, and other metal objects directly into the recycling bin
- Place plastic containers directly in the bin; however, a plastic bottle must have a neck, or it will not be accepted
- Note: Please be sure to remove lids, and rinse containers thoroughly
Paper Products
- Place scrap paper such as junk mail, paper egg cartons, cereal boxes, cracker, and shoe boxes, coupons, writing paper, and greeting cards into a paper bag, and then place the paper bag into your recycling bin
- Break down and flatten cardboard. Place smaller pieces on the bottom of the recycling bin, and place larger pieces (up to 36”) under the recycling bin
- Place phone books, magazines and newspapers directly into the bin
What NOT to Place in Your Recycling Bins:
- Plastic bags
- Plastic bottles without necks
- Light bulbs
- Flower vases
- Drinking glasses
- Window glass
- Plastic tubs or yogurt containers
- Petroleum or petroleum products
- Pesticide or Herbicide containers
